This month's meeting of the JMRA will be held on August 21, 2001 at  the Presbyterian Church in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania (This is the big white church on the right as you enter Shickshinny from the Wilkes-Barre side).   The meeting will take place in the meeting room on the street level.  This room is handicap accessible.  Entrance to the meeting room is on the opposite side of the tower.  We hope to see you all there!

We would like to congratulate Kimberly A. Wolfe, granddaughter of Keith (N3YUA) and Louise Wolfe, for passing her 5 WPM Morse code test at this year's Hamfest.  Great job Kimberly.  We hope to talk to you soon on 2 meters. Kimberly's call sign is KB3GRW.

We would like to wish good luck to Brittany, daughter of Alan (KB3EXF) and Megan (KB3EXG) Rosenbaum, as she prepares to take the test for her amateur license.

We would like to thank Cliff Ronk Jr. (KA9UOK) and George Gannis Jr. (WB3FKQ) for their help in getting the new PL tone 82.5 working.   As Charlie (AD3L) said "The surgery was a success, and the patient made a quick recovery."   Thanks guys!

Any members who are interested in doing a club thing for field day, please contact Charlie (AD3L), Mike (K3EVQ), or Keith (N3YUA).
